About Us
Hi and welcome to The Karma Collective.
We are a Social Traders certified social enterprise and we're on a mission to support the wellbeing of vulnerable people, animals and protect the environment. Our origin story starts in Melbourne, Australia where Founder, Audrey Martin, set out to support animal rescue by raising money selling premium, hand-poured candles at local markets.
With that, The Karma Collective was born and since then, has flourished into a thriving wholesaler and retailer of gifts that restore wellbeing. We now utilise state of the art laser cutting technology to create a range of wellbeing and homewares products that can be branded and/or personalised.
The enterprise headquarters moved to acreage in Toowoomba, Queensland, in 2022, where the operations are expanding to create employment that supports the wellbeing of disadvantaged people in the Toowoomba regional community. We do this by creating dignified, paid employment and training opportunities that support our operations and which connect our team with pathways to relevant growth industries (such as manufacturing, events, animal care and logistics).
Our team works across entry level, intermediate and management-level positions in roles that they help to shape when they start. A diverse workforce means we are a team of diverse people, with broad life experiences.
In addition, our experienced leadership team is equipped to provide training and development that is job-specific and which recognises individual strengths and interests. As we grow, we design products, services and processes that also give consideration to the impact on the natural world and the climate.
Our next major stage is to open a wellbeing sanctuary that offers inclusive, accessible animal therapy and wellbeing experiences for the community and visitors to our region.
We believe that business, when governed and operated as a force for good, has the greatest potential to positively impact the wellbeing of our world.
Our dream of uplifting people and care for the vulnerable in the world around us, is not an isolated one, but is shared by many in our community. This is how our Community Co-Design Artwork came into being. We shared our dream with local social enterprise stakeholders and asked two questions:
Do you share our belief in a vision for a wellbeing space; and
How can we make it a reality?
The ideas flowed, and we dreamed big. The day was recorded in visual storytelling by Indi from IndiDust, and developed into the concept you see below, which captures our essence and impact priorities.
As each part of the journey unfolds, we are astounded by the positive impact we all experience.
Thanks to you, our Karma family, we truly can support the wellbeing of people, animals and planet.
Thank you for reading this, and for uplifting our collective Karma!
